Brian Dale Elliott of Waterloo, formerly of Chesley passed away suddenly, after a brief illness, on Thursday, January 2, 2020 in his 63rd year.

Brian was born May 1, 1957 on the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation, Neyaashiinigmiing (Cape Croker). He was employed at the Heirloom Furniture Factory in Chesley for several years and later worked as a crossing guard for many years in London, Ontario. Brian loved caring for his pets and enjoyed listening to country and western music. He also had a talent for drafting and constructing miniature models of buildings.

Brian will be dearly missed by his siblings Geraldine, Sharon and Isadore and his close friend Julie Cass. Brian will also be missed by his mother Olive Hawton Taylor, and sisters Lynda (John) Earl, Brenda (Tim) Whibley, Marsha Hawton, and Lenora (Duane) Bristow. He will be fondly remembered by nieces and nephews Michael and Heather Earl, Sandra Leigh and Ryan Walker, Darren and Sarah Earl, Joanna Earl, Christina Roberts, Charleen, and Natasha Whibley, Mathew Hawton, and Sabrina and Spencer Bristow. Brian was predeceased by his brother Wilfred, sisters Karen Elliott, Elizabeth Elliott, and his father Carl Hawton.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Brian’s Life at Breithaupt Community Centre (350 Margaret Ave., Kitchener) on Thursday, January 9, 2020 from 5 – 6 p.m.

Memorial donations in memory of Brian may be made to Healing of the Seven Generations, 300 Frederick Street, Kitchener, Ontario N2H 2N5.
