The many friends throughout Grey and Bruce County, as well as the London area, will be saddened to learn of the passing of Carole Jane (nee McKee) Konyk at Chapman House in Owen Sound on Sunday, August 11, 2019, surrounded by her family.
Carole was a very spiritual and unique person who touched many lives with her positive energy.
She was predeceased by her parents, Russell and Irene McKee, her husband Michael Konyk, her brother-in-law, Harvey Neff, and her nephew, Jason Calder.
She leaves two sisters, Yvonne (Kitchener) Hayman of Toronto and Deane (Jerry) Calder of Leduc, AB, one nephew, Scott Hayman of Mississauga, and two nieces, Tara Hayman of Toronto and Tania (Calder) Kolody of Edmonton, three great-nephews, Reed, Linden and Rowan Clements and two great-nieces, Alexandra and Madeleine Hayman. Carole will also be dearly missed by Michael’s sister, Nadia Neff, and her nephews, Michael and Jason Neff.
She will also be greatly missed by Dr. Amy Doofenbaker, her friend and “adopted” daughter, Bob Fenton, her loving companion and her long-time friend, Marcel Coulombe.
A celebration of Carole’s life will be held at Rhody Family Funeral Home, Chesley on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 2 p.m. Inurnment in Chesley Cemetery.
Those wishing to honour Carole may donate to either The Nature Conservancy of Canada or to the OSPCA, two of Carole’s favourite charities.
