Eldon Black of Chesley, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 in his 89th year.
Loving husband of Ella Mae (Dinsmore). Devoted father of Dave, Debbie (Rick) Pegelo, Connie (Rod) McKinnon, Don (Pam), Tom (Lorrie), Lori (Steve) Cook, Joni (Jonathan) Nelson. Cherished Poppa of Heather, John, Jason, Steph (Mark), Richard (Jess), Ryan, Rachael, Rebecca (Mark), Quinton, Somerville, Jennifer (Spence), Courtney (Josh), Christian, Mandy (Norm), Britton, Jessica, William and Beth. Great-grandfather of Gryphon, Emilie, Talia, Sophia, Finley, Callum, Casey, Cohen and Karli. Eldon will be remembered by his in-laws, Lois Olmsted, Wilma Dinsmore, Dorothy Glasser, Ivan (Unita) Dinsmore, Jack (Judy) Dinsmore and Ross Ziegler. Eldon was predeceased by his parents, John and Susan (McDonald) Black, brother John (Lois), sisters Alice Alexander (Gordon), Mary (Murray) Thomson, Isabelle (Dave) Newman, in-law’s Donnie (Cliff) Lee, Tom (Phyllis) Dinsmore, Mary Ziegler, Jim Dinsmore and Carl Glasser.
Eldon enjoyed nothing better than spending time with his family and always had the cards on hand for a good game of cribbage.
A Casual Come & Go to celebrate Eldon’s life will be held at the home of Debbie and Rick Pegelo (#61, Concession 2, Chesley) on Saturday, June 20, 2015 beginning at 2 p.m.
