Frederick Joseph Golem of Chesley, passed away at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Chesley on Monday, January 28, 2013 in his 80th year.
Beloved husband of Marjorie. Loving father of Sandra (Eric) Lang of Desboro, Connie (Steven) Kuhl of Kitchener, Rosanne (Bryan) Brett of Orangeville and Ivy (Cory) Scott of Shallow Lake. Fred will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Colleen (Kevin), Amanda, Jessica, Michael (Ashley), Kerri, Heather, Kelly, Courtney, Ally; step-granddaughter Samantha; and great-grandchildren Kole and Kendal. Survived by his sisters Mary Golem of Port Elgin and Dorothy (Bruce) Higgs of Howe Island as well as Marjorie’s family, Gerald (Sulta) Weppler of Tara, Val (Terry) Weppler of McCullough Lake and Isabel Weppler of Desboro. He was predeceased by his brother Irvin, brother’s-in-law Marty Simmons and William Weppler and his parents, Joseph and Mildred (Kaufman) Golem.
Visitation was held at Rhody Family Funeral Home, Chesley on Wednesday from 7 – 9 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Fred’s life was held at Faith Lutheran Church, Desboro on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 2 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to service. Spring interment in Faith Lutheran Cemetery, Desboro.
Memorial donations to Faith Lutheran Church or the Chesley Hospital Foundation were appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
