Lloyd Douglas Brubaker of Chesley, formerly of Guelph, passed away at Hanover & District Hospital on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 in his 91st year.
Sadly missed by his caregiver Wendy Patterson of Chesley. Survived by his son David Brubaker, step-daughter Patricia Weir, step-son Barry Townsend, granddaughters Helen Lockyer and Roslyn Davison and several great-grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered by Carol Ziegler, Glenna Berger, Audrey Middleton and their families as well as his many friends in Chesley. Predeceased by his second wife Elizabeth, daughter Christine “Kitty” McCall and friends Florence Kreutzkamp and Evelyn Porter.
As per Lloyd’s wishes cremation has taken place and a Royal Canadian Legion Branch #144 service was held at the Chesley Legion on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 11 a.m., followed by a short memorial service. Inurnment in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Guelph.
Memorial donations to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) or the Alzheimer Society were appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
The family would also like to thank Dr. Rochelle Dworkin for all of her care of Lloyd over the years.
