Margaret Magdalene Caroline Rhody of Chesley, passed away with her family by her side at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Chesley on Sunday, May 8, 2011 in her 90th year.

Loving mother of Ruth (Gerard) Dietrich of R.R. #5 Mildmay, Grant (Darlene) of Chesley, John (Karen) of R.R. #2 Elmwood and mother-in-law of Linda (Bill) Tramer of Hanover. Cherished grandmother of Charles (Sonia), Angela (Mark), Amanda (Phil), Ashley (Dan), Nathan (Christina), Jennnifer (Corey), Ben (Lise), Naomi, Katrina and Nolan (Crystal). She will be sadly missed by her great-grandchildren Braydon, Isabella, Sophia, Savannah and Brooklyn. Margaret will be fondly remembered by her brother George Ahrens, sisters-in-law Helen Ahrens and Erika Rhody all of Hanover and brother-in-law Carl Weber of Walkerton. Predeceased by her husband Carl, son Charles, siblings Gerald, William and Lillian in infancy, sister-in-law Ruth Ahrens and her parents, Arthur and Magdalene (Hossfeld) Ahrens.

Visitation was held at Rhody Family Funeral Home, Chesley on Tuesday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Margaret’s life was held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Chesley on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment in Chesley Cemetery.

Margaret’s granddaughter’s were pallbearers, Angela Swas, Amanda Karasinski, Naomi Rhody, Ashley Dietrich, Katrina Rhody and Jennifer Mannerow.

Memorial donations to the Chesley Hospital Foundation or St. Mark’s Lutheran Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
