Emke%2C%20RaymondRaymond Allan Emke of R.R. #1 Elmwood, passed away at Hanover & District Hospital on Friday, January 29, 2010 in his 65th year.

Beloved husband of Sharon. Loving brother of Corleen and her husband Robert Kaufman of R.R. #1 Hanover and brother-in-law of Mary (Jim) Kaufman of R.R. #3 Elmwood, Harold (Judy) Bartman of Brantford, Gail Bartman of Hanover and Dianne (Ralph) Watson of Durham. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother-in-law Norman Bartman and his parents, Clarence Emke and Phyllis Howie.

Visitation was held at Rhody Family Funeral Home, Chesley on Sunday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A funeral service was held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Elmwood on Monday, February 1, 2010 at 11 a.m. Spring interment in Elmwood United Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Larry Fidler, Allan Krauter, Don Emke, Larry Heipel, Jim Howie and Don Gateman with honourary pallbearers, Elgin Monk and Lorne Barton. Flowerbearers were Jaycee Kaufman, Corbin Kaufman, Nataley Stephen, Gillyan Kennedy and Kaity Kennedy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
