Arnold Charles Knapp of Hanover, formerly of Sullivan Township, passed away at McVeen Lodge, Hanover on Friday, March 12, 2010 in his 95th year.
Beloved husband of seventy years to Lila (Pegelo). Cherished father of Shirley and her husband Rick Clarke of Chesley, Eleanor Showell of Grimsby and Murray and his wife Kathy of R.R. #4 Chesley. Loving grandfather of nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren. Arnold will be sadly missed by his brothers Wallace (Imelda), Morris (Ruby), Gordon (Elda Mae) and sisters-in-law, Jean Knapp of Hanover and Madeline Pegelo of Chesley. Predeceased by his brothers, Werner and Victor, son-in-law Bruce Showell, great-granddaughter Taya Paterson and brother-in-law Elmer Pegelo.
Visitation will be held at Rhody Family Funeral Home, Chesley on Sunday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Chesley on Monday, March 15, 2010 at 2 p.m. Spring interment in Chesley Cemetery.
