George Cecil Loucks of Chesley, passed away at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Chesley on Monday, March 28, 2011 in his 91st year.
Beloved husband of Dorothy. Loving father of Peter (Ruth) of Chesley, Ann (Chris) Merla of Calabogie, Heather – Jean (David) Middleton of West Grey, Margaret (Alan) Riddell of Elora, James (Penny) of Brampton and David (Sandra) of Frankford. Cherished grandfather of nineteen grandchildren and one great-grandson. George will be fondly remembered by his siblings, Doris Cunningham of Stratford, Carman (Marie) of Kitchener, Verna Almond of Meaford, Milford (Geraldine) of Owen Sound, Ronald of Markdale and Clifford (Ineke) of Flesherton. Brother-inlaw of Mary Loucks of Markdale and Sandra Loucks of New Brunswick. Predeceased by his brothers Norman, Jack and Ross, sister Jean Merla and his parents, Edwin and Mildred (White) Loucks.
Visitation was held at Rhody Family Funeral Home, Chesley on Thursday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Services were held by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #144 and the Forest Lodge #393 Masons on Thursday evening. A memorial service celebrating George’s life was held at St. John’s United Church, Chesley on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 11 a.m. Rev. Linda Nixon officiated.
Memorial donations to the Chesley Hospital Foundation or the Bluewater Education Foundation for the Outdoor Education Center would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
