Madeline Mabel Pegelo (Golem) of Chesley, passed away peacefully at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Chesley on Monday, April 5, 2010 in her 88th year.
Beloved wife of the late Elmer Pegelo (2003). Dear mother of Ivan and his wife Kathy of Chesley, Ivadel and her husband Howard Todd of Dornoch, Dorothy and her husband Winston Bell of Kitchener and Marilyn (Marnie) and her husband Bob Slumskie of Durham. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Lori (Gary) Dooks and Michelle Todd (Dave Coulombe) of Guelph; Heather (Dale) Bast, Jason (Becky) Bell, Dallas (Jen) Bell and Monty Bell (Liz Tod) all of Kitchener; and Andrew Slumskie of Durham; and great-grandchildren Todd Ferringo and Vincent Todd; Amanda Bast; Nicole and Braydon Bell, Reann Brevoort; Hayden, Nathan and Kyle Bell. Madeline will be missed by her brother Wilfred (Marion) Golem and sister-in-law Marguerite Golem of Hanover; and sisters-in-law Lila Knapp of Hanover and Ruby (Morris) Knapp of Chesley. Predeceased by her grandson Brent Slumskie; great-grandsons Cory Bast and Jeremy Bell; brothers Norman (Irene), Clarence (Edna), Elmer, Harvey (Mary), brother-in-law Arnold Knapp and her parents, Albert & Augusta (Knapp) Golem.
Visitation will be held at Rhody Family Funeral Home, Chesley on Thursday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. where a funeral service will be held on Friday, April 9, 2010 at 2 p.m. Interment in Chesley Cemetery.
Memorial donations to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church or the Chesley Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
