Memories will be shared at 14:30 (2:30 p.m.) and everyone is welcome to share a word or two. BBQ snack afterwards and Randy’s last ride will be held between 17:30 – 18:00 (5:30 p.m.)
It is with great sadness and a deep sense of loss that the sudden unexpected death of Randy on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 is announced. Formerly of St. Thomas, Ontario he passed away at his home at R.R. #4 Chesley in his 51st year.
Randy was loved deeply and will be missed terribly. Survived by his daughter Lara Rapelje, son Robert Rapelje and wife Birgit (Guntner) Rapelje of Chesley. Cherished son of Robert (Eleanor) Rapelje of St. Thomas. Randy will be sadly missed by his loving family and by his many close friends. Predeceased by his mother Janet (Page) Rapelje in 1987 and brother Steven in 1997.
He was a valued volunteer at the Hanover Habitat for Humanity ReStore for many years. Your absence will be truly missed.
As per Randy’s request, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held at Scone School House on Friday, July 14, 2017.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Randy’s children. A trust fund set up (please make cheque payable to Birgit Rapelje).
