Wilfred McIntyre Reid of Chesley, passed away at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Chesley on Thursday, July 8, 2010 in his 92nd year.
Beloved husband of Dorothy. Loving father of Doug (Ann) of R.R. #1 Chesley, Jim (Terry) of R.R. #4 Chesley, Scot of R.R. #3 Chesley and stepfather of Mary (Terrence) Pearce of Brandon, Manitoba. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Kirk Reid, Julie (Brad) Gottschalk, Stacey (Doug) McCutcheon, Melanie, Mitchell and Sheena Reid; step grandchildren Quintin (Kerri) and Kent Pearce; great grandchildren, Kelvin and Teagan Gottschalk and step great grandchildren Aidyn and Spencer Pearce. Wilfred will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his first wife Juanita Jacklin, brothers Gordon and John, sisters Donelda Brown, Margaret Ledingham, Isabel Chiller and his parents, Donald and Clara (McIntyre) Reid.
Visitation was held at Rhody Family Funeral Home, Chesley on Friday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. A funeral service was held at Geneva Presbyterian Church, Chesley on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 11 a.m. Interment in Chesley Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bill Jacklin, Keith Reid, Robert Reid, Brad Gottschalk, Kirk Reid and Mitchell Reid. Flowerbearers were Julie Gottschalk, Melanie Reid and Sheena Reid.
Memorial donations to the Chesley Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
